Look for Colorado’s newest addition to the bluegrass world in your area! Please check out our schedule to see where we will be performing our brand of traditional, hard hitting bluegrass music.

We are also very proud to announce the official lineup of the Ruined Nation Boys bluegrass band. On the mandolin is the aggressive, award-winning picking of Jordan Ramsey, who also brings his proficient and strong singing voice to the band. Keith Reed is a master of Scruggs-style banjo, and mows audiences over repeatedly with his hammer-dropping style of playing. Formerly of Spring Creek bluegrass band, Alex Johnstone brings his rippin’ bluegrass fiddling to the band. On the bass we have Evan Neal, formerly of Lonesome Traveler. His impeccable timing and feel for groove sets the foundation of this 5-piece traditional string band. On guitar and vocals is Dave Richey, who has a voice reminiscent of singers from the golden age of bluegrass and country music.

Also coming up is a slew of shows featuring Jordan Ramsey and Dave performing as a duet. Jordan and Dave are close friends who’ve been singing together since their college days in the East Tennessee State University bluegrass and country music program. Their voices blend together so seamlessly that you couldn’t get between ‘em with a razor blade. Enjoy a beer at the new City Star Brewery, recently opened by our friends John and Whitney Taylor. We’ll also be at the Tasty Weasel Tap Room, home of the infamous line of Oskar Blues beers. Also upcoming we will be at the reputable Lyons Fork, which serves up some of the finest cuisine in the Boulder area and beyond. Check out our schedule and come support live local music and tastes!! See y’all there!

Altona Grange, at 39th and Nelson Rd. is a remnant of a once flourishing agricultural movement called the “Patrons of Husbandry” and was established by a Minnesota farmer in 1867. Granges were started as an attempt to organize farmers against price fixing by the railroads, high interest rates on bank loans and also to increase efficiency of farming techniques. The Altona Grange (#127) was established in 1891 and is one of 492 granges in Colorado. It is one of the oldest active granges in the state.

Brand-spankin’ new on the Colorado scene, “The Ruined Nation Boys” features some of the top pickers not just on the Colorado front range, but in the entire country. Combining tight, lonesome harmonies, hard-edged pickin’, and a great stage show, the RN Boys saw off your favorite bluegrass standards, instrumentals, and original tunes. They never fail to deliver the high energy type of show reminiscent of greats such as Jimmy Martin, Bill Monroe, and Flatt and Scruggs. The Boys offer a taste of the original style of bluegrass music, all the while keeping it fresh with originals and killer pickin’. The Ruined Nation Boys are clampin’ it up in B and shovin’ it down the drain!
